New Year's Newsletter Resolutions!
Resolve: to decide firmly on a course of action.
Newsletters are such an incredibly important -- and successful -- marketing tool that I am resolving to reach even more people in 2010 to share what I have to teach about creating and marketing with newsletters.
I invite you (encourage you, urge you!) to take some time on Jan. 1 and think about how you're going to incorporate newsletters into your 2010 marketing efforts. Here are some New Year's Newsletter Resolutions that I hope you'll put into action with firm determination. Which ones are you willing to commit to?
1. I will publish a regular newsletter in 2010 -- a minimum of once a month if it's an email newsletter (ezine) or once a quarter if it's a print newsletter.
2. I will plan my newsletters at least three months in advance (preferably a year in advance) so that I am never at a loss for what to write about or include in them.
3. When I am tempted to put off a newsletter, I will remember all the ways they help me engage with my prospects, gain exposure to my market, attract new clients, demonstrate my expertise, increase client confidence and loyalty, and land new opportunities. I'll do whatever it takes to publish my newsletter. (Oooh-rah.)
4. I will not let lack of time or dislike of writing stop me from publishing a newsletter. I will either set aside time to write multiple articles in one sitting, or I will seek alternatives to my having to do it all myself. (One such alternative to consider is www.ready2goarticles.com.)
5. I will stop worrying about giving away my knowledge and accept that doing so in a non-promotional way actually helps people know and trust me -- and eventually buy from me.
6. I will learn the differences between how to use a print newsletter and how to use an ezine. (Download a free copy of my "75 Best Newsletter Success Strategies" for great lessons on this.) And I will give serious consideration to both formats to see which one (or both) would best serve me.
7. I will learn what I need to learn to do my own newsletter (the Ezine Success Academy would be great for this), or I will ask for help. However it happens, I'm committed to using a newsletter to market my services this year.
It's my privilege to support you to do the life-changing work you do in the world. If I and my staff can help you in any way, please do let us know. It's my mission to help you CONNECT with the people who need what you do!
