A Note from Linda

Closing in on the end of the year, I’m reflecting on 2007 and the many gifts it has given me. And I am so grateful for the role that all of you have played in this excellent year. Thank you for allowing me to do the work I love—supporting you to do your good work in the world. I’m also grateful for the amazing learning, the amazing people, the amazing opportunities that have shown up for me this year. I love my life!

Since 'tis the season, I have some early gifts for you. You'll find them below in Claire News & Tools.

Also, would you be so kind as to take a 2-minute survey just below this article that will help me better understand your needs? I would appreciate it very much.

Have a beautiful and restful time preparing for your holidays and your new year!

Linda

Your Newsletter as a Valuable Gift

Most of us think of a newsletter as a marketing tool because, of course, newsletters are great at reminding people of you, your expertise and your services.

But that’s not all they do. We sometimes forget that a good newsletter adds value to the personal and professional lives of readers. It truly educates. It’s a gift…a gift that opens doors for the reader, and for you.

Your newsletter is a valuable giftYou’ll know your newsletter is valuable when you see a stranger passing it to a friend over dinner at a restaurant. You’ll know your newsletter is educational when your client brings it into his session with you to talk about a particular article, or when another client tells you she has your Top 10 pasted to her computer monitor. You’ll know it’s a gift when you receive a “Thank You” note in the mail or in your inbox.

(These are all experiences that users of our newsletters have told us about, and they warm my heart so!)

A gift is always a good way to start a relationship. It’s like saying, “I want to add to your life,” and what a precious thing that is to hear these days. In this regard, a newsletter is a great way to begin communicating with the individuals that may eventually become your clients. Like a personalized coffee mug, you will forever be associated with this gift.

Your newsletter can also be a thank-you gift to your existing clients, as in “I appreciate you and your business, so here’s something I think you’ll find of value.” If your newsletter isn’t stocked with valuable information that adds to your clients’ lives—if you don’t feel like Santa when you’re giving it out—then perhaps you should rethink the content of your newsletter.

Raising your client rates, and wanting to show added value for it, is another good reason to give a high-quality newsletter. Again, it’s all about adding value, and the more value you add, the more you receive. It’s one of those interesting equations in life.

Giving you enormous value, by taking the big marketing task of producing a newsletter off your shoulders, is what we at Claire Communications love to do. Please give us a call or visit our websites if we can help you with your newsletter or article needs.

We Have a Big Idea & We Want to Know What You Think!

Please Take This 2-Minute Survey to Help Us Understand Your Needs

A few of us are considering joining forces to present a one- or two-day live, in-person training that we’re loosely calling “Learn from the Experts...How to Market and Run Your Practice.”

In the training, each expert will share his/her expertise, with special attention to using the Internet effectively and appropriately. I am one of the event organizers (along with Deborah Gallant, of WebPowerTools), and both of us will be among the training experts.

Help us create a program that will meet your needs! We appreciate your taking just two minutes to fill out this survey. Click this link to get started.

Thank you!

How This Woman Uses Her Newsletter Rocks!

Laisha KneuvenI think you will really enjoy hearing how one of our clients has become “The Newsletter Lady” in her town AND pays for her entire newsletter subscription and printing/mailing costs with a collaborative insert into the newsletter.

Click this link to listen to a very energizing 10-minute interview I did with Laisha Kneuven in which she tells all about her very effective strategy.

If you are interested in learning more about this approach, email me. Laisha is willing to put together a group call to share more about the ad insert if there are enough folks interested. Enjoy!

Your Articles…Your Ezine…But We Do the Work!

You’ve been asking for this for a long time. We hear you, and we understand…some of you coaches just HAVE to write your own articles for your ezine! Now you can do that—and still let us take care of the rest of the work.

Starting in January, we will begin producing “Your Stuff” ezines. We’ll still create a beautiful template for you that matches your website. We can still put in recommended reading, inspirational quotes and your upcoming promotional items. And we’ll still take care of mailing it to your contact list. The only difference is you’ll be writing the articles (one or two a month), not us!

The cost: $185 a month for a completely custom ezine. If, of course, you just don’t have time to write articles but want to be sending out a newsletter, you can use one of our popular private-label newsletters for $135/month (includes license to archive on your website). Either way, give us a call or send an email if you’d like to start 2008 with a new ezine that you’ll be proud to send out. 866-200-6945 or lcp@clairecommunications.com

If you've been hemming and hawing about getting a website for your practice, thinking the whole thing is too expensive, check out a terrific system I discovered recently at the ICF Conference!

www.webpowertools.com

This system lets you build a professional marketing website yourself without knowing anything technical or spending a fortune. We can even help you integrate it into your newsletter marketing so people can sign up for your newsletter right on your new site...and we can publish past newsletters into an archive, too. Check it out and tell Deborah that you heard about it from Claire Communications!
